What are the characteristics of TESA ACX+ 7078 ?
TESA ACX PLUS 7078 tape is a double-sided acrylic foam adhesive tape from the TESA ACX PLUS range from the manufacturer TESA. The visco-elasticity is the special feature of this range, which combines remarkable elasticity and a viscous component that offers a slackening of the mechanical forces.
The double-sided TESA ACX PLUS 7078 is composed of 100 % black acrylic foam whose particular formulation enables it to withstand extreme temperatures (from -40°C to 120°C continuously !). It is recommended for outdoor use to resist difficult conditions like wind, snow, sun and even the weight of the assembly itself.
Its considerable thickness allows it to fully cover the surface (including irregular surface) and therefore ensures lasting and effective protection against corrosion. Thus it better compensates against thermal elongation, which is significant for some materials, especially outdoors in extreme conditions.
This tape is also available in a thinner version: 1 mm thick for reference Tesa ACX plus 7074 and 1.5 mm thick for reference Tesa ACX plus 7076.
This double-sided tape can be found, for example, in the fixing of reinforcement profiles, lift panels and also, in the field of solar panels.
